Mr.Brower: I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. I met him once and the memory of his smile and how much you look alike will remain part of my memories. I know that even though your heart is heavy, it is also at peace with the fact that you know he is not suffering any longer. You will see his smiling face again one day. If you need anything please feel free to call me. God Bless you and your family in their time of need. Coach Owen Spalding High

Jerry, Thanks for posting. I have wondered how all of you are doing.
Coming to Tony's site to "check" on him was a part of my daily routine. I am glad that his board has been left up as a living memorial to him.
We miss you, Tony. Rest in peace.

Thank you for the link! Very nice!
Many family and friends will be gathering from around the country tomorrow evening in Griffin, GA for the final Memorial to Tony. Some family members were able to attend the memorial at Eagles Way and we all appreciate Julie and my grand daughters Anna and Katie for arranging the service.

I met Tony at Rocky Mountain where he played bass in service to God and his church. I had the privilege of sharing in his gift of music as a fellow musician--let me tell you we were a solid rhythm section! Tony's heart shone through his smile, he loved everyone and had such a humility about him--he had a truly magnetic personality and people were drawn to him. He will be remembered always and missed deeply. I look forward to playing music with him again someday, I know we'll rock the heavens... God bless you Tony...
Tina, I am so sorry for your tragic loss. If there is anything you need or any way I can assist you please contact me--I'm local. I'm sure you know that Ted is also available. Together we can get anything done you may need.

Any one that knew Tony was blessed. My blessing continues each time I can hear his laugh and see his smiling happy face in my mind. My life like anyone reading this that knew him is better for the experience. Can we live our life as Tony did that someone will say that of us. Thank You Tony! Tina you are in my prayers.

Just got home from the service at Eagles Way Church and was BLESSED to have the honor of speaking and sharing at the service.. The one thing that was shared by all who spoke about Tony was the Passion he had for life, and the Love that he had for people.. May we remember this when we think about Tony, and may we ALL strive to treat each other and to love each other the way he loved us... Tony, we will miss you, but you will ALWAYS be in our hearts...

I can see and hear Tony and his brothers on stage at the Greenwood church singing and playing with daddy grinning from ear to ear. Jerry, Eleanor and the entire Brower family, I am so sorry for your loss. Every time I think of you Jerry, I can see you leading the Greenwood choir in a song that electrified and blessed everyone, "There is a Reason Jesus Passed By". I love you all!!

I want to thank all of Tony's friends and family that have offered their support, love and prayers over the years. I cannot even begin to express the sadness and emptiness that I feel - there are no words.
I remember the very moment that I fell in love with Tony - he was singing on stage with his brothers at a concert in Morgantown, MS - we were 10 years old. Even then, he had that smile and personality that filled the room with love and joy. He asked his Dad if he could "go to Tina's house and play" ... and that is where our journey began.
Our days were spent building tree houses, playing football in the front yard and fishing with our cane poles. He would offer to bait my hook "for a kiss" - and of course, I would let him.
Our journey took us many places over the years - some together and some separately - but our friendship was a bond that could never be broken - a true love for each other in the purest sense. It is impossible to sum up a man's life with words - but if I had to try, I would use words like Passion, Honor, Pride, Strength - Tony was bigger than life.
Anna, Katie - your Dad loved you more than you will ever know. I am so sorry for your loss. You girls and your mom need to remember the good times and know that you were priviledged to be a part of his life.
I will miss Tony - he took a part of me with him - my heart. I am honored that I could share the journey's end with him.
Tony - thank you for loving me.
Tina

My thoughts and prayers , and those of my parents and sister go out to Julie , Anna and Katie.
Also to His loving Mother , Father and brothers, and Tina.
Tony approached life with a certain , Je ne se que , that was infectious to those around him. Whether working or playing , he did so with a smile on his face.
He is missed.
Anna , Katie be strong and know your Daddy loved you as much as any Daddy ever loved two girls... in all the time I knew him and spent around him, he rarely talked of anything else for long, but "his girls."
God bless you all .

In listing the memorial services, it was overlooked that there will be a memorial service for Tony at Eagle's Way Church in Griffin, GA on Sunday, April 5th at 3:00. This is the church where Tony was a faithful member and an important part of the praise team for 16 years. His children, Anna & Katie are planning this service to celebrate his life.

We invite you to go to this link to hear one of the tunes Tony wrote for his LA project. The book about his life and the tunes to go into the project are finished with the exception of one tune that all of his friends in Nashville plan to complete.
You can hear one of these wonderful songs sung by his friend that he considered his brother, Jimmy Fortune, formerly of the world famous Statler Brothers. The song is "A Place Called Hope." Please copy and paste this link into your browser to hear it. www.mctmg.com/hope.html

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! (We will move this post to the top of the page from time to time.)
All of us who shared Tony's life want to thank all of you who possibly never met him in person yet you knew who and what he was! You felt the tenderness of his nature and recognized the unbelievable talent of this awesome man! Thank You for your wonderful comments about him here!
We want to thank Donnie Weaver, who has been his webmaster for years, for the wonderful tribute he has made this site into. Donnie is one of the best web designers that we know and being like a brother to Tony he has put his heart into this site. He began work on this when we knew that he was leaving us soon. Donnie and I were on the phone preparing this site to keep you informed because we know how much you all loved Tony and were coming here on a regular basis to know where we were in the process of his leaving on his trip to be with the Lord. I know Donnie developed this site through many tears and we thank him!
A special thanks to Susan who faithfully came here to give all of you updates on Tony! She was like a sister to him from many years ago when she and her family attended meetings with the Brower Family in Conroe Texas. She, her brother, and her mother and father have always been a part of our family! Thank you Susan and I love you!
There are so many that I would love to mention but this space will not allow it. Our Tony is in a much better place and all of us have to accept that fact!
May God bless his most wonderful wife Tina!! I doubt that I shall ever know a more faithful and caring woman!
To my beautiful and wonderful granddaughters Anna and Katie, your dad loved you more than you can imagine!
One thing I should mention here concerns Tony's music which is available on this site. PLEASE feel free to download it! Also, if you wish to support Tina with the terrible financial burden this long sickness has left her with we would be so grateful!!! Donate buttons are in several locations on the site. We cannot bring Tony back but maybe we can bless him by blessing his most faithful wife! Tina's address is on here as well if you wish to send her a personal note.

Jerry, Tina and family. We were saddened to hear of Tony's passing. What a wonderful Christian testimony that his life was to the world! I can personally give everyone some insight as to how Tony was able to provide his verbal magic with words that consoled virtually any situation in the best light. Tony has been a voracious reader ever since I've know him. He always had a book in his hand and after many years he gained more than a college education from his reading. He read a hell of a lot more than most other folks and he retained that information and was able to parse it out in situations that were relevant. I just thought I'd pass this on to his friends. If you want to be like Tony, then read books as voraciously as he did. It'd make him proud.

The day they brought Tony home from the hospital, and I got my first glance at him, he was special. His eyes were big and beautiful, and those scrawny little arms and legs seemed to go on forever! Those first few days with him at birth were all I needed to form a bond to last a lifetime. Of course I celebrate his life! Very few of us can say we've been as great a Christian light, leading or inspiring so many. I didn't know then how talented he would be, but I did know he would be given an example to live by.
As much as I know I'll miss "my Tonio", I can't imagine how deep the pain is for his mom and dad. With his birthday coming in a few days, I'll remember, as I do every year on April 15th, that day years ago when they brought him home. This year his celebration will be beyond compare with his Heavenly Father who took him home to paradise.

There's a lot to be said when parents raise 3 children as wonderful as the Brower boys! We all love those boys deeply and know they turned out to be wonderful men, Christians, husbands and fathers because of the way they were raised! Tony was the man he was due to Jerry and Eleanor Brower!!!

I may be a bit prejudiced on this subject since Jerry is my brother and Eleanor our loving sister-in-law. But with all these accolades of Tony, his loving spirit, his faith in God, and his love of music, he had the most loving, caring, and awesome parents any child could want. Tony you've been my best friend since the early 80's. When I first met you at Evangel Temple I didn't trust you since I felt nobody could be such a kind person without an agenda. But you proved me wrong and we've been best buds ever since. I've seen you in your best days and your worst. You've given me a friendship that has never been matched by anyone, and I thank you for that. I have many memories of our time together and I'm grateful to have those. You are in a better place and I'm truly sad that you didn't get more time on earth as a healthy, well person with your beautiful wife Tina. She's been your rock and is worthy of much praise to have stood firmly by your side through all of your time with her. I will miss you badly my buddy.

There's nothing sadder to me than the loss of my second daddy. When he spoke, his voice meant the world to me. His laugh, contagious. His music, inspirational and beautiful. His family, my own. He will always be my Uncle Tony and our family will never forget how strong of a man he was on earth and in God. He is missed... too much.

Dear Jerry, Elenor, Ricky, Eddie, Tina and entire Brower Family:
Just got the news of Tony's homegoing (from mom and dad, Roy & Josie Goss in Greenwood) and wanted you all to know that you are all in our prayers. We are lifting up as a family and in our church as well. May the Holy Spirit comfort you and keep you during this time. This life is just a dressing room for eternity and what a dressing room it has been for Tony. I had lost contact of all he had done and what a blessing to see the music he has written and the many lives that have been touched. He carried this over into eternity with him and many lives will follow him into Heaven. May you richly feel Father God's presence stronger and stronger each day during this grieving process. God bless you all.

We are saddened by the news of Tony's passing yesterday, but we rejoice that he is no longer suffering and in pain and has been promoted to Glory. There is no limit to the beauty and perfection of the place Tony is in now.
Our prayers are with Tina and the entire Brower family. We know what it is to grieve the loss of a loved one and how deeply that loss is felt. May God give each of you the strength and comfort you need at this time and in the future
Tony fought a long and hard battle with his illness, and while we mourn his passing, we celebrate the fact that he is now with the Lord in Heaven.
Bless you all.

All of us who had the privilege of having Tony touch some part of our lives feel a great loss at this time. Tony gave us so much through his songwriting and performing--and a smile that could light up a room. At this time we celebrate that life! God has spoken and delivered Tony from the long, hard battle he bravely fought and is no longer in pain!
Please know that all of you--Tony's wife, girls, the Brower Brothers' family and friends-- are in my prayers at this time of loss. May it comfort you to know how many loved Tony and that he is now singing in THE heavenly choir!

I have known Tony since our days at New Life/Eagles Way. Tony and my son played in the praise and worship band there. Tony was an awesome musician, and today heaven has an incredible new musician. He fought a valiant fight. Today he has a new body that will never experience pain or disease and we all have the assurance that one day we will see him again. I pray for strength and peace for his family for I know that they will miss him tremendously.

Tony is safe at home in Jesus' arms. While we are so sad over loosing him, we can rejoice in the knowledge that he is free of pain and suffering.
Rest in Peace, Tony. We will never forget you.

Tony will be sorely missed by many. Although most of them do not post here, please go to the last pages of

to see how many lives he touched with his music and how much admiration his friends the "Fortune Tellers" have for him.

We attended church with Tony 15 years ago; we were always amazed at his talent. We were there when he was first diagnosed and went through first chemo treatments. He always kept a smile on his face. Thank God he is no longer in pain. Our hearts go out to all his family.

Jerry, Eleanor, Tina, Ricky, Eddie and Families:
My body and mind have been weary from doing what I could to help fight a flood in Fargo, ND. When I logged on to get an update about Tony, I was at first saddened by his passing. I have lost a brother and father, and I knew for all of you the loss would be difficult to bear. Then, I was relieved to know that God had finally taken him home and he was no longer in pain.
This man has left behind an imprint on our world that anyone knowing him will never forget. He was an extraordinary songwriter, musician, and vocalist - he had an incredible wit - he loved to laugh - he possessed a warm and loving heart - and he also had faith in the Lord that no amount of pain and suffering could shake - which he clearly stated in his periodic updates on this site. His courage and conviction should be a lesson to us all.
For his family and friends, hold the memories of Tony close to your hearts. I will continue to pray for strength for all of you as you walk forward in life, knowing that Tony is in a better place. Take care of each other.
Cindy

It's a been a long time since I saw Tony last. I got frequent updates on his condition through my mother's friendship with his mother Eleanor. I played on the Praise Team with Tony at New Life/Eagle's Way Church for many years. My jaw spent a lot of time on the floor when watching him play! I was always in awe! Tony was one of those special people who just put a smile on my face every time I saw him. I have fond memories of Tony and am deeply sorry that I haven't seen him but rarely in the past 15 or so years. My thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy go out to his family. I know he will be sorely missed!
